A non-profit Charitable Organization  

The Los Toros Foundation is chartered as a Public Non-Profit Corporation, with the status of  tax-exempt IRS 501 (c)(3) organization. All contributions, grants and donations to the Los Toros Foundation are tax deductible charitable contribution. Since we are chartered in the USA a contribution to the Los Toros Foundation is considered a charitable contribution to a USA non-profit charitable organization.

The Foundation is funded by contributions from donors and corporate grants. 

Donors may contribute through various options including: 

Direct contribution to a specified project. 

Contribution to an unspecified project. 

Endowment for a specific term to a project. 

General Endowment. 

Though we depend on private donors to fund our work

it is also the intention of the Los Toros Foundation, Inc. to seek support and grants from 

Public and Private Foundations.

SOLICITATIONS

The Los Toros Foundation Solicits contributions to fund its work in the community of Los Toros with the intent and understanding that all monies given will be applied as requested by the donor. Unless specifically stated by the donor no monies will be used for administrative or operational costs. 

Management

The Los Toros Foundation has made a commitment to accountability and careful management of resources. A monthly financial statement will be made available to all who desire to view it. An annual report shall be issued to give a comprehensive explanation of the work of the foundation. The Board of Directors will seek as much as possible to limit administrate costs and utilize the work of volunteers with professional experience in their fields. There will be a close collaboration with the community of Los Toros and local volunteers will be sought to assist with projects.

Foundation Investment Philosophy

 The Foundation will manage all monies granted to it in a responsible manner and will grant the donor of an annuity the option of either guaranteed investments or none guaranteed investments. A guaranteed investment will be an investment guaranteed by the US government such as FDIC and may include US Government bonds, money market accounts, CD’s, etc. Other annuity investments will be carefully chosen in accordance with the donors wishes.
